I have to say, we got a ton of really nice gifts from our wedding. One of my favorite items was that I finally got a few Le Creuset pieces that I love. Thank you so much Aunt Patricia!!! I broke in my Le Creuset this weekend by cooking up a Beef Bourguignon/Pot Roast dish. We still had a lovely Chianti left over from our rehearsal dinner. I deglazed the pan with it and it was extremely nostalgic… thinking of the lovely dinner my now in-laws hosted for us.
I was too lazy to chop up the meat so I threw it in a la pot roast style but used the ingredients of a beef bourguignon. Here’s the end result with the lid off. My camera didn’t do a good job of capturing the picture through all the steam coming off. I have to say… I LOVE the pot… I seared it first in my All-Clad and then transferred everything in to the Le Creuset. The lid is so heavy that there was no steam coming off and it caught all the liquid and it self basted throughout the night. We had our groomsman Ben over for dinner and finished nearly everything off. The mushrooms were delicious! Recipe over here!
