So after my nice long break, I’m back here blogging again. I had to go offline to blog about the wedding planning and engagement process since it was such a private and personal event I did not feel comfortable posting it up as things were being planned.
Sam proposed to me in 2010 on a bluff in Half Moon Bay. When he got down on one knee, I was shocked. Obviously I said yes since now we’re married but I’ll never forget that moment when he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. We planned our wedding for HMB and now that place is even more special to us. Since the proposal, we’ve always talked about going back and seeing the special place where he proposed and this past weekend we finally made it out there. I had a gift certificate for Sam’s Chowder House so we stopped by there first before trekking out to the bluffs.
Sam’s Chowder House was delicious; I had the salmon burger and he had the crab sandwich. We ordered a cup of clam chowder to split and I finished the meal off with the obligatory key lime pie. Delicious!! The key lime was delicious but didn’t have anything on the key lime from Mustard’s Grill. That place still has my heart with key lime… Something about brown sugar meringue makes me want to bathe in it and in all its lovely glory.
I finally had a good excuse to put on the wide angle lens to capture the sunset as we finished off our New Year’s Weekend.
