I love Cajun food. Actually, excuse me. I need to correct myself. I love certain soul foods. Beans and rice? Not really a fan. Catfish? Yeche. But the biegnets, the blackened chicken, the andouille sausages… MMMmmm. One of my favorite places to eat brunch at is Brenda’s up in the city. Sam and I got the opportunity to meet up with Linda and Randall for brunch last year. I finally got around to uploading the pictures and here they are in their fulfledged droolworthy glory. I ordered the bananas foster french bread and the biegnet flight. MMMmmm… Plain, chocolate, spicy crawfish, and apple cinnamon; I was in biegnet heaven. Sam ordered the andouille sausage omelette with house potatoes. Since it was the first weekend in December, we took advantage of the Museums on Us promo that Bank of America was running and we spent the afternoon browsing in the Legion of Arts. After parking, we were treated to the glare of a cranky yet alert owl perched on the tree in front of us.
